Here’s a preview of The Tyneside Irish Cultural Society’s adult education classes.
Summer term – week beginning Monday 16th April.
IRISH LANGUAGE ELEMENTARY level 1C
6.15 – 7.15pm. For those with some conversational Irish Tutor: Graeme Hutchinson ROOM 1
IRISH LANGUAGE INTERMEDIATE 2B 7.30 – 8.30pm For those with a working knowledge of Irish grammar, who can form longer and more complex sentences ROOM 1.
CREATIVE WRITING (Not running in summer term, will return in September)
Led by author Tracey Iceton. 2pm to 5pm (fortnightly classes) ROOM 1
Traditional style, Irish formal dance; beginners always welcome. 8pm – 10pm
ART CLASS 1.30-3pm (Not running in summer term, will return in September)

IRISH LANGUAGE POST BEGINNERS level 1B

DRAMA CLUB ANTICS 6.30-8.30pm. Library room floor 3. Newcomers welcome
NEW A BRIEF HISTORY OF IRELAND 4.30pm
A series of lectures led by T Corcoran including visiting speakers Room 1
IRISH MUSIC FOR ADULTS (All welcome -Beginners & Improvers,)
6.30pm – 7.30pm Bring your fiddle, tin whistle, accordion or bodhran guitar………..…
NEW ANCESTRY (free)
We are running three one-off discussion groups: 8pm Thursday 26th April, Thursday 24th May and Thursday 31st May. Please come to the library room on floor 3.
FEES : £20/£15 conc. per 10 week term ( we are running two terms only this year)
