The Late Shows was created in 2007 by a steering group led by North East Museums (formerly Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums). North East Museums continues to co-ordinate the award-winning event bringing together over 60 venues who open their doors for two evenings of eclectic cultural experiences.

This award-winning after-hours culture crawl returns in May 2026 and we will be participating with on the Saturday evening with Newcastle venues.
