ROSS is a special project for older Irish people and their friends organised by the Tyneside Irish Cultural Society. One of our aims is to bring together Irish emigrants who settled in the North East region during the 50s and 60s to celebrate their cultural heritage. Our title comes from the famous Dubliner’s song- ‘The Rare Ould Times’ -and we think it sums up many of our childhood memories.
Every month ROSS is on the road to a local venue where there is a lunch, live Irish music and entertainment. This meeting will take place in Middlesbrough at Holy Name of Mary Church, The Avenue, TS5 6QT
A bus will go from the Tyneside Irish Centre. Anyone wishing to participate in this ROSS should contact Sherie Murphy on 0191 2610385 or at tyneirishcs@gmail.com.
