We have and still do organise and number of Irish Cultural events over the years and would not be able to do this if it wasn’t for the support from a number of organisations who help us with funding, sponsorship and marketing. We would like to thank all of these organisations and would like to recognise the wonderfull work they do through out the UK and beyond.

We are going to print some Christmas cards to send from the NE Irish Network and, as we were so impressed with the entries for our recent Art competition, we have decided to run a competition to find a top design.

We were shocked and sad to lose Paddy Cowan, such a straight talking seeker after truth. It is vital we preserve the independent voice of the Irish community he provided in The Irish World.

It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the death, a short while ago, of Paddy Cowan, the owner and founder of The Irish World, peacefully, in London, with his family by his bedside.
Details of funeral arrangements will follow. May he Rest in Peace.
