Children will be mesmerised by Pat ‘the hat’ Speight as he tells traditional Irish tales at The Word in South Shields as part of Tyneside Irish Festival.

Families will be taken on an adventure as he shares stories about Kings and Warriors, Witches and Magicians, Pick-pockets and Ghosts, Fairies and Mermaids and Mythical, Mystical characters that will inspire and captivate the imagination.

This is a magical event the whole family don’t want to miss!

Under 7s and their families 11.15-12pm

Over 7s and their families 12.30-1.15pm

Please note children of all ages will enjoy either session.
