Open night at The Irish Centre (Free)

On Thursday 8th September there will be an open night where the Tyneside Irish Cultural Society there will be hosting a presentation of the main activities planned for the Autumn/ Winter season.

These include the 30th Tyneside Irish Festival, October 13-23rd, adult education classes starting 19th September, and a series of lectures.

The Director, Tony Corcoran, will show video extracts of some of the major Irish acts appearing at the festival including: Beoga, Jack O’Rourke and Sean Keane. There will also be a chance to buy tickets at a discounted rate.

There will  be an opportunity to meet class tutors covering Irish Language, Irish Music, Irish Ancestry, History and Art, and to discuss the subjects for the upcoming lecture series.
The evening starts at 7.30pm. There will be live music and free wine and snacks.
