The four surviving members of the “Beggarmen” folk group are back together to mark the tenth anniversary of Peter Kelly, their leader’s death on Friday 9th September.

Peter was a man of many talents. His prowess as a graphic artist is evident by the logos he produced for the Irish center of which he was secretary. His passion however was Irish music: he founded the “Beggarmen” in 1970, started the local Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann in 1972 and even danced with Tyneside Irish Dancers in festivals across Europe.
