Ireland celebrates its first ever St Brigid’s Day bank holiday this year. Come along to help us shout out the achievements of Irish women. St Brigid represents faith, healing, the coming of spring and the creativity and achievements of women down the ages. 7 pm on Wednesday 1st February 2023.
There’ll be poetry, readings from some of our favourite writers, music and a talk about those heroic women who defined Ireland in the Twentieth Century. People like Bernadette Devlin and her colleagues in the Civil Rights movement: activists like the Dunne’s strikers.
You can even have a go at makiong your own St Brigid’s cross. Tickets are free, just let us know you are coming by registering on Eventbrite https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/523544113537
